Description

Quest’s single origin PNG Kokoda medium roast coffee is an intense but balanced journey through an exotic flavour profile. Certified organic, PNG Kokoda beans are revered and highly sought after among coffee lovers. Coffee made from this roast is vibrant and unique, with cocoa, green pear, and beautiful sweet mandarin overtones. It’s a stand out among the single origins and delicious both black and with milk.

Papua new Guinea coffee has a distinct wild note, but not earthy like Indonesian coffees (such as those from Sumatra). The beans are usually farmed by small landholders, most of whom have only 5 to 10 trees within their “coffee garden” which despite being small is the main source of income for these families.  The small farms are often organised into co-ops that share wet-milling facilities. Many PNG beans, including those that are used to produce the PNG Kokoda organic coffee beans, are Fair Trade and organic certified.
