Description

Toddy Cold Brew System (Domestic / Home)

The Toddy Cold Brew System is the gold standard for making café-calibre cold brew coffee and tea at home. Its simple steep-and-drain method produces a bold, super-smooth concentrate that’s approximately 67% less acidic than traditional hot brewing – ideal if you’re sensitive to acidity or just prefer a smoother finish.

The recipe is easy: add coarse-ground coffee (or tea) to cold water in the brewing container, steep for 12–24 hours, then remove the stopper to drain through the filter into the glass decanter. That’s it.

Cold brew concentrate can be cut with cold or hot water, mixed with milk, or used in recipes (espresso martini anyone?).

What beans should I use?

Cold brew is brilliant with sweeter, fruitier coffees because the lower brewing temperature reduces perceived bitterness and lets naturally sweet flavours shine. Great choices include:

  1. Guatemala
  2. Costa Rica
  3. Colombia
  4. Ethiopia

See our coffee bean comparison for relative sweetness across origins and roast styles.

What if I don’t have a grinder at home?

No problem. Order beans from your favourite supplier – whether Quest roasted beans or another great roaster — and select grind setting “Toddy” (coarse / plunger-style).
