About
Japanese matcha is sweet and savoury, with a bold hit of umami and a silky-smooth finish.
Bright green in colour, it can be enjoyed both hot or iced.
Delicious simply whisked with water, or paired with coconut milk and a hint of maple syrup for a creamy matcha latte.

Preparation
- Brewed: Add 1–2 tsp to 250 mL water at 80°C, whisk or stir until a rich foam develops. Drink within 3 minutes.
- With milk: Whisk 1–2 tsp with 50 mL water at 80°C to form a smooth paste, then add steamed milk (optionally with maple). Serve hot or pour over ice.
How it’s made
Matcha is a type of green tea made by grinding tea leaves into a vibrant green powder.
Traditionally, it’s stone-ground into an ultra-fine texture, and the stems and veins are removed for a smoother taste.
