English Breakfast Tea (Premium) – Loose Leaf Organic




English breakfast tea is one of the most popular teas in the world. It has a history dating back to 1892 when a Scottish tea master – Robert Drysdale – created a stronger black tea blend to be served at breakfast.

This English Breakfast black tea blend is made from a premium Black Assam mix, and has a full rich taste, with a malty finish and soft floral undertones.

Loose leaf 100% organic tea.

How is it made?Blended from a premium Certified Organic Black Tea (OP1) that is made from the dried leaves of camellia sinensis tea plant.
Preparation1-2 teaspoons, 250mL 90-95°C for 1 minute. Serve with milk, or if you’re serving black you can add a slice of lemon. Can be sweetened with sugar or honey.
Tasting NotesFull rich taste, with a malty finish and soft floral undertones.
Health BenefitsEnglish Breakfast tea is a black tea and is abundant in antioxidants, such as flavonoids (source), that are formed during the oxidation process. They can reduce cholesterol and blood sugar levels, and lower the risk of heart disease (source).

The theaflavins in black teas, through their antioxidant effects, are attributed to improving blood vessel function, and support weight loss.



English Breakfast tea is made from the Camellia Sinensis tea plant. Camellia Sinensis tea plants are grown in plantations in many parts of the world. The tea leaves are harvested by hand, and only the young and juicy leaves are picked. After harvest the tea is dried with additional processing depending on the tea type.
