Banksy Bar & Kitchen is a modern café and cocktail bar in Broadbeach, Gold Coast (QLD), offering a stylish, welcoming space with seating for up to 80 guests. We serve certified organic coffee from Quest Coffee Roasters – available to take home or enjoyed in our signature drinks – and offer both dine-in and takeaway. On Friday and Saturday nights, we run a relaxed dinner and cocktail service with light fare and expertly crafted cocktails for our guests to choose from.
We are looking for an experienced Bar Tender / All Rounder to join our team!
Position: Bar Tender / All Rounder
Hours: 15-20 hours per week (Casual Position)
Shifts: Includes Friday and Saturday evenings with shifts from lunch up to 10:00 pm
Rate: $34.50 to $36.50 / hr + Super, Bonuses, and Penalty Rates
Location: Broadbeach, Gold Coast, QLD

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcomes customers by determining their food and drink interests and needs.
- Mixology, Bar Service, and Barista Duties: Craft and serve a variety of innovative cocktails, mocktails, coffee, tea, and other beverages to a high standard, ensuring excellent presentation and customer satisfaction.
- Running Food: Delivering food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables, ensuring accuracy and prompt service.
- Clearing and Cleaning Tables: Keeping the dining area tidy and presentable, clearing tables after customers leave, and promptly resetting them for the next guests.
- General Cleaning: Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the cafe, including regular cleaning of surfaces, floors, and equipment.
- Dishwashing: Ensuring timely and efficient cleaning of dishes, glassware, and utensils to maintain a smooth workflow and support kitchen operations.
- Customer Service at Till: Assisting customers at the cash register, processing transactions accurately, and providing friendly and attentive service.
- Handling and Serving Food: Preparing and serving food items, such as pastries, sandwiches, and snacks, following established recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organisation standards and Food Health & Safety regulations
- Closing Procedures: Perform end-of-day closing tasks, ensuring all duties are completed for a smooth closing process and readiness for the next day.
ABOUT YOU
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience Bar Tender is required.
- Alcohol Drinks: Experience in serving alcohol and or preparing cocktails.
- Barista Skills: Some experience in preparing espresso based coffee beverages.
- RSA Certification: Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Advanced Beverage Knowledge: Strong understanding of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to Learn: Open to training and developing new skills.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage inventory and handle ordering efficiently.
- Customer Service Focus: Committed to providing exceptional customer experiences and building customer relationships.
- Food Health & Safety: Strong understanding of food health and safety standards, and ability to adhere to them.
NICE TO HAVE
- Marketing Abilities: Experience promoting a venue through social media and other channels.
- Certification in Hospitality: Formal qualifications in hospitality or related fields.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 18 Years Old (due to legal requirements for serving alcohol)
- Legal right to work in Australia: Australian Citizen or Resident, or hold an appropriate long-term visa to work in Australia.
- Evening Availability: Able to work Friday and Saturday evenings, including shifts up to 10:00 pm.
- Reliable Transportation: Ability to commute to and from Broadbeach.
